As Senior Project Engineer, you will be exclusively working on a multi-year, multi-million dollar project involving an unmanned air vehicle that we anticipate will become a transformational force in our company's continued growth. The project kick off is six short weeks away and you will be spearheading all aspects of the project ranging from scope definition and identification of key resources to problem identification, risk management and scheduling and budgeting.

To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will ideally have a Systems Engineering background along with a track record of success in managing projects of $10M or more. Of course, as in any large project involving multiple stakeholders, you will also have the interpersonal finesse to collaborate with customers, articulate the strategic project vision and influence and energize the team to embrace this vision and relentlessly drive it to completion.

Our embedded computing solutions provide the most innovative and complete product integration services for high density data processing requirements while performing under the most rugged operating conditions. CWCEC's ISO-certified Santa Clarita facility develops embedded systems solutions for a wide variety of control applications in aerospace, defense and commercial markets. You'll find CWCEC solutions on planes, UAV's, helicopters, tanks, nuclear vessels, Humvees, and in other demanding applications.

At our Santa Clarita facility, you will report directly to the Director of Project Engineering and provide technical leadership to a team of 20-25 engineers.

You'll be walking into the requirements definition stage of this multi-phase project that has a development cycle of 2-3 years and we'll expect you to hit the ground running and create the momentum to help us meet our project targets.

At a high level, you will coordinate between customers and design engineering to ensure the program is on track and manage the timely completion of engineering milestones within specified project parameters. You will also lead design reviews and serve as a role model for your team as you instill confidence in your abilities and drive project engineering excellence.
