In this role you will direct all aspects of multiple programs, from contributing to proposals and quotes to providing supervision and technical advice to overseeing the final integration and execution of delivered products. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have a BSEE or comparable degree and significant program management experience in complex engineering/manufacturing environments, including embedded computing. We're looking for a professional with a track record of controlling costs and delivering to quality and schedule requirements on a consistent basis. You also will need creative and strategic thinking and solid interpersonal skills.

Our embedded computing solutions provide the most innovative and complete product integration services for high density data processing requirements while performing under the most rugged operating conditions. CWCEC's ISO-certified Santa Clarita facility develops embedded systems solutions for a wide variety of control applications in aerospace, defense and commercial markets. You'll find CWCEC solutions on planes, UAV's, helicopters, tanks, nuclear vessels, Humvees, and in other demanding applications.

Reporting to the Director of Program Management, you will join a team that includes five Senior Program Managers and one other Program Manager. Coming aboard, you'll aim to quickly develop an understanding of our system and environment so that you can begin making a real impact. Before long you can expect to be managing about five programs of various sizes at any given time. Programs include designing and manufacturing custom parts or merging commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts, or both, as part of a system solution.

Key objectives for any program will include: Your initial challenges will revolve around learning the nuances of a particular program and establishing strong working relationships with your team members. As you integrate a customers' requirements into design and manufacturability, you'll be able to identify and define key issues into actionable items and keep the team focused on program objectives at all times. We'll also look to you to proactively manage risk in the program, analyzing problem areas where the program could go astray, mitigating risk and implementing corrective solutions that will keep the program on track.

Although your day-to-day responsibilities will vary depending on the specific program you're managing, in general you can expect to invest the majority of your time in program management -- planning, organizing, supervising, troubleshooting -- and the remainder in meetings, collaboration, continous process improvement and other special projects. From time to time you may accompany our sales and marketing teams to assist with customer presentations in support of new business development.

Pivotal to your success will be your ability to meet objectives including customer on-time delivery, superior customer quality ratings, and increased return on capital.
