Curtiss-Wright Controls' Littleton, MA operation is an ISO certified manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, cable and wiring harnesses, power control and distribution subsystem assemblies, and a broad range of support services. We're poised for additional growth and are now seeking an Electrical Engineer with design expertise in the areas of: 1) video interface; 2) power supply; and 3) analog designs to take ownership of the development process from concept to completion. This is a diverse role and you may direct and coordinate all activities necessary to complete a major electronics engineering project or several smaller projects and deliver to deadlines. We'll also look to you to infuse a fresh perspective into our designs to help push us to the next level.

What You'll Bring to the Table

• A BSEE or BSME; a Master's degree is preferred.
• 5-10 years of engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment with design expertise in:
  • Analog & Digital Control Systems
  • 8-16 bit microprocessor based systems
  • 50 - 500 watts power supplies
• Ability to write and modify low level embedded firmware.
• Creativity and innovation to propose new design concepts that meet customer requirements, as well as new product potential.
• A demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, inspire and get results through others.
• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience in PIC microcontroller a plus.
• Experience in designing wireless communications 900mhz, 2.4GHz & 5.8GHz a definite plus.

More About Your Role

If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details. As you come on board, your main priorities will be to:

1. Ensure maximum design efficiencies during the production process.
2. Deliver designs for manufacturability.
3. Stay on top of deliverables to ensure on-time customer delivery.

Your initial challenges revolve around getting to know your team, assimilating into a high-powered team, gaining acceptance from your peers, and effectively leveraging resources within the company (especially figuring out our international resources) to perform at full-speed.

In a nutshell, you'll be spending about 80% of your time doing actual design work; another 10% modifying existing design and re-qualifying the products; and the remaining 10% collaborating with the team on new product concepts.
