Curtiss-Wright Controls' Littleton, MA operation is an ISO/AS9100 certified manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, cable and wiring harnesses, power control and distribution subsystem assemblies, and a broad range of support services. We know that a key element to our success is our continuous commitment to quality, and we're now looking for a talented quality professional who can integrate our suppliers' manufacturing processes so that their products move smoothly through our system.

As Supplier Quality Engineer, your two-fold mission is to:

• Establish an approved vendor qualification & measurement system.
• Demonstrate improvement in incoming materials through percentage or number of units that are rejected internally or by customers.

Our Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; Master's a plus.
• Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in quality control and /or manufacturing.
• Knowledge in electro-mechanical assembly processes.
• Knowledge in metal fabrication processes.
• A demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, lead and get results through others.
• The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to function independently as well as a team player.

Preferred, but not required:

• Exposure to military requirements and specifications.
• Fluency in ISO9001-2000 and AS9100 quality standards.
• Knowledge in PCB assembly and test (through hole and SMT).

More About Your Role

If you're a good fit for this position, you already know most of what this job entails. However, to be sure we're providing a complete picture, here are some details.

As you come on board, your initial challenge will be to quickly scale the learning curve, gaining a deep understanding of the "nuts and bolts" of our products and systems and then developing and implementing QA systems that meet our specific needs.

Specifically, your responsibilities are to:

• Establish and maintain a Supplier Quality measurement system.
• Drive supplier corrective action programs as required.
• Review engineering and manufacturing documentation to determine accuracy.
• Act as liaison with Curtiss Wright and our suppliers to assist in process improvements.
• Establish and maintain process by which suppliers are approved.
• Work closely with Purchasing to evaluate new suppliers and to maintain the approved vendor list.
