This is a ground floor (no legacy) opportunity to showcase your supply chain expertise and make a significant impact at one of the defense and aerospace industry's most respected and innovative suppliers!
Curtiss-Wright Controls' Embedded Computing division is now seeking a seasoned Director, Global Supply Chain who can harness the power of synergy to maximize our supply base across multiple sites (that have a combined annual procurement spend of over $80M) and develop robust and scalable supply chain processes to serve our immediate needs as well as support our ongoing growth.
As Director, Global Supply Chain, your threefold mission will be to:
Apply your supply chain expertise to develop and drive a Division-level strategic material sourcing plan that will quickly generate cost savings that meet/exceed Division level objectives.
Build and sustain authentic relationships with local site management by balancing Division level strategic sourcing goals with individual BU objectives.
Position yourself as a positive catalyst for change, promoting the value-added benefits of a Division Level Supply Chain center of excellence.

Our Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field; MBA is preferred
Minimum 10+ years of SCM experience including proven track record of SCM successes at corporate/divisional levels in an electronics manufacturing environment
A demonstrated ability to provide solid leadership through influence, and facilitate dynamic, cross-functional teams in multiple locations
Strong strategic supplier management and negotiating skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and project management
Solid organizational skills, including a proven ability to follow through on projects to completion
A strong sense of integrity and the ability to exercise judgment, tact, and discretion
Proficiency in MS Office suite (particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Ability to travel, about 50% of the time, to nationwide destinations.
Familiarity with SAP or similar MRP system is a plus

Initially this is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President/General Manager of the Littleton, MA site but you'll eventually oversee a small team of global commodity experts.
Calling on your experience and expertise, you'll aim to "hit the ground running" and start making a real impact in short order. Specifically, your responsibilities are to:
Develop and execute a Division wide strategic sourcing plan that:
Guides the selection, development and management of Core & Strategic suppliers to meet YOY commodity cost savings targets.
Establishes a consolidated, preferred supply base that:
Reduces inventory & lead times
Improves Quality
Protects against counterfeit components
Provides better terms and contract consistency across BU's
Creates a channel of obsolescence off load
Lowers overall total ownership costs
Works closely with local site management to balance Division level strategic sourcing with individual BU objectives
Maintains Division level quarterly business reviews with suppliers.
Maximizes VMI usage and automation to reduce transactional requirements.
Leverage SAP capabilities to capture and report timely and accurate Division wide procurement data and identify pricing discrepancies.
Evaluate business objectives and manage a small team of commodity experts (direct & indirect).
Provide point of escalation for commodity issues as appropriate.
